We just got back from a 3+ week trip to UT. We had the best time and were more than happy to escape the Vegas heat for awhile. I knew this summer would be tough for us with a brand new baby and the extreme heat. I was worried about Kai and Rori being trapped inside all summer so I made a plan to escape to UT. Things fell in to place beautifully which made for a grand adventure for us.
It all began with Lance driving to SLC with the kids and I one night after work. It was late when we arrived but the night driving meant that Zuri slept most of the way which is key since she hates the carseat still. We slept in and hung out a little the next day and then got in the car again and headed up to the Cabin at Bear Lake for a super fun long weekend. We went boating, rode on the 4 wheelers, hung out in the hot tub, painted and hung bird houses, played with cousins, went on a hike with grandma and grandpa and on and on. Like always it was so beautiful and fun at the Cabin. It really is quite a retreat.
