We were all super excited to visit San Diego this summer. Lance had a work retreat in Temecula so it worked out great for us to piggy back on that. We decided to break up the long drive with a quick stay in St. George on the way down and a quick stay in Mesquite on the way back which really helped and added to the fun of it all for the kids. Lance spent the first few days at his work thing and then joined up with us for the next few days. We had a great time being with Grandma, Grandpa, and Whitney. We kept busy paddle-boarding, surfing, birthday shopping, beach going, swimming, hitting some balls at the driving range, and just enjoying time with everyone. We had picture perfect weather days on the days we set aside to paddle-board and go to the beach. Then, a crazy (for San Diego) thunder and lightening downpour hit us toward the end of our time at the driving range/ put-put course so we'll have to try that again another time. It made for a fun experience for the kids though as we all ran for cover through the pouring rain and booming thunder with Grandpa. It was a great trip and we were sad to see it come to an end. Thanks to Grandma, Grandpa and Whitney for such a fun time!
