Lance did his first experiment with our dutch ovens this weekend. We've never really tried them before, but he got motivated and made the most yummy meal- enchiladas and blackberry cobbler. We went up the canyon by where we live and it was great. The canyon was beautiful, clean, and easily accessible. We invited Lance's parents to be our taste testers so that was fun too. Kai had a blast. He told us that he loves the canyon as we were driving home. We seem to have an outdoor kid.

Loving Nature:
One of Kai's favorite things lately is singing the National Anthem. I have no idea how we got on that. I wonder how many 2 1/2 year old love the National Anthem. Here he is singing and waving his pretend flag. Sing It Kai!:

So funny. That's a story to remember to tell him. Maybe it's the sporting events you take him to!! It is a fun song :)
Tell Lance that we'll bring our hiking boots this summer and we want the same meal!! You would think that Kai would choose an easier song to sing!!
Wow!
