April 2013

April has been flying by with regular busy life.  Here are some scattered pictures from the month.

Zuri is such a funny little thing.  She is talking a ton and says and does things that make us laugh all the time.  She is full of personality and spunk and giggles.

Rori continues to love school and all her buddies there.  They all come running to meet her every morning when we get to school which is so cute.  She loves them all and looks forward to going everyday.  She and Peyton continue to be the cutest best buddies.  We are having to make some big decisions in regards to school for her next year and although it is stressful we feel confident that there are good things to come.

I have been having fun getting to play with Rori's hair some now that it finally getting a little bit longer.  Zuri's is close to the same length I think but it is even more fine.  I don't really know what I'm doing, but with 2 daughters I suppose I better start trying to learn.

A lot of our time these days is spent cheering on the Cubs.  It has been a fun season so far and Kai has been playing well.  Containing Zuri at the practices and games can be a challenge, but it has been nice that there are several younger siblings around to play with and entertain each other (and even have a fruit party with).

In addition to school, baseball, and piano Kai also seems to still find time to create all sorts of art projects and imagination games.  This elaborate outfit was inspired by the show Wild Kratts.  I guess on the show they wear some sort of gear that transforms and gives them various animal powers???  He made tons of those red circles you see with each one representing a different animal he could become.  Rori quickly asked him to make her one.

We introduced the kids to some old VHS Disney movies we found and they LOVED them.  I loved seeing them all snuggle in together.

It is pretty much impossible to get a decent picture of all 3 of them together at this point.  Zuri sees the camera and immediately turns away or won't stay still.  The other 2 lose patience after a few long minutes and either get grouchy or start to have a pained smile.  I'll keep trying....

Good thing she's so cute when she's being a picture stinker.
