Nesting Time Again

The first month of the year has already passed by with great speed. My pregnancy nesting instincts are already starting to nudge that it is time to get some things done around here (those things that you want to get done but always put off for another day). Projects like organizing closets, putting photo albums/ blog books in order that have been neglected for quite some time, and actually preparing items for the new baby. Picking a boy and a girl baby name and getting Rori potty trained are high on the priority list for example and cause me some good stress when I think about taking on either one too much. So far totally avoiding both hasn't gotten us too far.

I've got about 15 to 20 such projects on my list at this point- and many are rather massive in terms of time which is why I usually put them off. I'm sure Lance is grateful to be living in a more updated home this time around since the last time we went through this we lived in our 1940's house where there are constant home projects one could tackle when nagged to by a crazy pregnant wife. He's a little busy with school and work anyway...........so he's free of most of bigger time items on the list. His list is more about the activities we should accomplish before May- like taking Kai fishing, getting through another semester of his school, figuring out a next car with more room for 3 car seats, etc.

Unfortunately I've been side tracked some on my list by a nasty cold/ sinus thing the last week or two. It is the kind that just lingers with a pounding head feeling that is just enough to be annoying. Only being able to take certain medicine due to being pregnant hasn't helped tons- especially since most "allowed" medicine seems to be recently recalled. Lovely..... Anyway, Rori had the cold first but it never seemed to develop much for her. It has only lingered with an on again off again drippy nose.

So now we're on to February. We've got some fun things planned and some list items to check off so we're hoping for good health, bursts of energy, and some inspiration.

I am terrified of getting sick while pregnant simply because we can't take anything that actually works. Good luck getting over your cold - mine kicked in this weekend and I hate it. This wind is not helping. And car shopping - fun! I hope you find something you love.
