Last Saturday we felt like going on a little adventure after Kai's soccer game and before Lance had to get back to studying. The Hoover Dam is only about 15 minutes away so we thought we should go check it out. It was a good quick trip and we all enjoyed seeing Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam. It was also neat to get to see the new bridge that they are just about to open. The bridge will span the Black Canyon (about 1,500 feet south of the Hoover Dam), connecting the Arizona and Nevada highways nearly 900-feet above the Colorado River. Next time we go back it will be open and we'll have to make the drive across it.

Were you able to resist all the dam jokes? (height of the dam wall, amount of dam water, etc)
