Picnic Weather

We've eaten our lunch outside on a blanket the last 3 days in a row. The sun has been shining and we've been able to bust out some short sleeve shirts. Not to be left out- Rori has been enjoying her puffs right along side of the rest of us. It sure has been nice.

We've also been enjoying pulling out all of our outside toys again- golf clubs, baseball toys, scooter etc. We have obviously been trying to soak it all in.

Tomorrow's forecast is in the 70's.

Sunday's forecast is snow..............

It's the Most Wonderful Time...

..of the day for Rori. This little girl really loves her baths and Kai seems to think it is pretty fun as well to share the big tub. We've recently been having extra fun in the tub with the light up ducks Rori got from the Goldens. They are pretty awesome!

I Keep Hoping For...

...one good picture of the two kiddos together. One where they are both actually looking at the camera and smiling. It has proven to be nearly impossible. I think I need to enlist Lance's assistance to get both of their attention while I'm taking the photo. I love this picture of the two of them because it exemplifies the struggle. Can't you just hear them both saying "Are we seriously doing this again because we'll tell you right now we aren't smiling?"?

Putting off Bedtime

After their baths we all ended up on Mom and Dad's bed in an attempt to put off bed for a few more minutes.

Return to Gymnastics Class

Kai started back up again in February. We still LOVE it! We love our same teacher that we picked again and love how there are new fun things and tricks learned each week.

It's Back

The snow that it. It's coming down pretty steadily outside right now. I'm ready for warmer weather- mostly so the kiddos can get more outside time- but it sure is beautiful when it is coming down. Makes me want Lance to be home so we can all be safe and cozy inside together.

We had a fairly busy weekend planned. Friday night we headed to the University of Utah gymnastics meet. Kai loved having Amanda and Kennedy and Jack sitting there with us. Lance and I ended up catching up with a few other friends who were there too which was great.

We had several things happening on Saturday and Sunday too- Ward cleaning, Dinner groups (which was so yummy), Sat. projects, and so on. On Sunday morning at about 5am we heard Kai crying out for us from his room. He was burning up with a fever that would go down and then fire up again most of the early part of Sunday. Today he's cool as a cucumber and back to his good old self so it must have been a short little bug. People have been dropping like flies around us with all sorts of illnesses. If this is all we end up with for the Winter (in addition to the lingering cough thing of January) we will happily take it- if only. So far the rest of us are seeming ok, but time will tell. Sick kids are the pits.

So it's a new week with clean new snow. Time to get cracking on the week's to do's.

2 Sets of Twins?

My friend Amy watched Kai and Rori for me for a couple of hours on Thursday while I ran over to my old work for a bit. Then, I watched her kids for her for a few hours on Friday morning. It worked out to be a great trade. Kai and Amanda are about 3 weeks apart and Rori and Matthew are 2 1/2 months apart. I snapped these photos while they were at our house. It made me think of my friend Jena and her twin boys. I guess this is a VERY small glimpse of what it would be like to have 2 sets of twins. The tricky part is just trying to figure out how to carry the two little ones at the same time. Ha! :)

Sunny and in the Low 60's....

..in March means we hit the playground and the backyard to try and soak in a little warmth before the snow returns. It was nice.
