Ash, we just bought the kind of cup that Kai is holing today - with the straw... you have to suck SO hard to get the water out - is it the same with yours? I got ours at Costco (of course :).
We originally got this one from the Keller's as a baby gift. It has been awesome- not hard to get stuff out at all of this one- I even just took a sip myself to double check and it was like a normal straw. The brand is Playtex. I've heard they can be hard to find, but I've seen some at our local grocery store lately. They are a bit more spilly than a regular sippy when flipped open, but still great. You must have a different kind????
This is gorgeous - that is one of my regrets... not visiting all the beauty in Utah.
