Playgroup Bubble Fun

We had playgroup at our house today so we brought out the bubble machine for some added fun. It was a big hit. We even ended up gathering our neighbor kids on both sides to join in the fun.

Happy Birthday Whitney!

Happy Birthday to my sister Whitney today. Or as Kai has been saying all day Happy Day! Hope you had a great day and got to do something extra fun. Wish we could be with you to celebrate and enjoy some of that cake you took to work on Friday. Love you lots!

Last Saturday, Ashleigh and I went with my family to Pioneer Memorial Theater's production of Les Miserables. Kai didn't come but got to take a nap instead. We had a good time.

Thanks to my folks for the great opportunity to go.

We had a barbecue at cousine Kennedy's after to celebrate the arrival of baby Jack. Good times, Good times.

Happy 1st Birthday Jackson!

Happy birthday to sweet Jackson. His parents, Rachel and Andrew, were some of our good friends at Pepperdine. We miss that crew lots, but are excited that is is continuing to grow with these new addtions. Hope we get to play with Jackson in person very soon. Have a great 1st birthday!

Happy Mother's Day To All!

We had a nice weekend. Mother's Day is a good holiday. It takes on some different meaning having Kai in my life, but I have always thought that it is a great time to be grateful for the important women that surround us. Many women take on a significant role in our lives- friends, teachers, grandma's, aunt's............. and certainly our own super Mom's. So Happy Mother's Day to all the great women in our lives (especially our own Mom's) and thanks for all you do for us!



We started the celebration last night by having dinner with Lance's parents at The Roof Restaurant. It is at the top of the building downtown that is next to the Salt Lake Temple so the views (and food)are fabulous.




Tonight we went over to Lance's grandparents for a celebration there.



And thanks to Lance and Kai for making me feel special this weekend. They even made me this yummy cake.

Swept Grass

I bet we have the best swept grass in the neighborhood. Not everyone can say that. :)

Yard Work

This morning the whole family took part in some yard work. Kai really loves to help and boy what a helper he is.

Happy 1st Birthday Morgan!

I can't believe that Morgan is already 1. Her Mom and I have been good friends since elementary school and have shared lots of memories through the years. This picture was taken last summer when we all gathered for our High School reunion. Oh how quickly time goes by. Happy Birthday Morgan!

Man of Muscle

So today I ran upstairs for a minute to get something while Kai was playing down in his room. All of the sudden I heard a strange noise from the stairs. When I looked down I saw that Kai had carried his rocking chair all the way across the downstairs from his room and was attempting to carry it up the stairs. By the time I grabbed the camera he had gone back to his room and gotten something a bit more manageable to attempt to carry up. I wonder how he picked the rocking chair out of all of the things in his room. :)

We Want You!

Here is a pre and post hair trim. You can't really tell from this angle since we had them only barely trim the top. The bulk of the cut came from the sides and the back. It really looks like a little boy from the back now- so cute!
